All frequently asked questions

Sessions take place over video call - Rosie will send you a link before each session via Google Meet/Google Calendar. All you need is a device with a camera and a stable internet connection. Materials are shared on screen so the session feels interactive and natural.

Sessions are designed specifically for Year 10 and Year 11 students preparing for their GCSE English Language and Literature exams. However, Rosie has extensive experience teaching Key Stage Three students reading and writing skills in preparation for GCSE study.

This depends on your child's current level and goals. Most students benefit from at least one session per week. A bundle of 4 or 12 sessions provides consistency and momentum. Book a £30 introductory session to discuss what's right for your child.

Yes. In-person sessions are available as home visits in Hoddesdon and the surrounding area. In-person sessions are priced higher than online and must be booked in blocks. Please use the enquiry form below to discuss availability.

All major UK GCSE English exam boards, including AQA and Edexcel.

Sessions must be cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice. Missed sessions or late cancellations will be charged in full. Contact rosie@english-tutoring.co.uk to cancel or reschedule.

Yes. The first session is just £30 (online only) - a great way to see if Rosie is the right fit before committing to a block.

Rosie has experience teaching a wide range of GCSE texts including Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Jekyll and Hyde, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm, The Princess and the Hustler, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, Love and Relationships poetry and War and Conflict poetry.
